      Mandarin After School Club provides students with a foundational understanding of Mandarin through engaging activities. The curriculum will follow the internationally recognised Youth Chinese Test (YCT) framework, which offers a fun and educational experience.  (Please see the poster here)

      FEE for spring 2025: £120 per term (Year3&4 classes). The lesson fee includes all course materials. Exams are an extra charge. To book a place. To book please click here the forming booking.   • KARATE Club - Years 3-6 Tuesday 3.30 pm-4.30 pm

  • Chatty Maths - Years 3-6, at 3.30 - 4.30pm

    ‘Chatty Maths!’ transforms fundamental maths education into competitive, hands-on fun. A unique pedagogical approach blends financial management, geometry, logic puzzles, Lego building and art into active challenges. Every workshop, from card games to Lego building, places an equal emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and critical thinking - ensuring children are learning deeply without even realising it.

    The cost for the Summer Term is £96. There are limited places, booking/registration can be completed here.
    Chatty Maths!’ is a member of ICAP (Institute of Children’s Activity Providers) and holds the highest 3-kite quality assurance rating.

  • Film Making - Years 3-6, at 3.30 - 4.30pm

    This club emphasise hands-on learning in filmmaking and performance. Students actively participate in various roles such as actors, camera operators, sound engineers, and directors. The cost will be £84 for the Summer term. For further details, see the flyer  or click here to register

  • FOOTBALL 4 FUN - Years 3&4 , at 3.30 - 4.30pm

    The cost will be £6 per session. We have strictly limited places (40) available. To register, please visit the FFF website. Please text Ray 07973 255 005 to reserve a place, stating the child's name and year or if your child will be late or miss a session.
    Please note that the PE kit should be worn to school to save time on changing. You do not need to inform the school office. Children not collected on time will be taken to tea time club.

    In our lessons children work on vocal confidence, speaking skills, public speaking, storytelling, conversations, interview technique, acting, improvisation and more. For more details see this poster 

    FEE for 2025/26: £80 per term (30 minute classes), £110 per term (1 hour classes). Lesson fee includes a workbook and all course materials. Exams are an extra charge

    Once you have signed up for Speech and Drama in the Autumn Term there is no need to sign up again. The children keep their places for the whole year as they are working towards their LAMDA exams.

Thursday External activities Year 3&4

  • CHESS Club - Years 3 - 6 Thursday mornings from 7.45 am-8.40 am

    Please note that the reception does not open until 8 am, therefore, please wait with your child until the teacher arrives.

    We have a growing chess club run by our chess coach, Mr Ben Harte, on Thursday mornings. The club is open for all children in years 3-6. Some year 2s may enquire to join also depending on space. The charge for this club is £9 per session. Mr Harte’s sessions will run for 9 sessions, £81 per pupil per term.

    Having entered the 2nd Eagleide Schools Chess Championships in March 2026 and arranged a local school match in June 2026, the plan is now for the school to enter more local and national competitions and arrange friendly matches.
    Attending a chess club is the best way for your child to improve, learn, have fun playing chess and put themselves forward for school team selection.

  • Cross Country Club Years 3-6 from 3.30-4:30 pm

    Come and be part of our exciting Cross Country Club for Years 3 to 6. Build your fitness, strength, and endurance while having fun outdoors with your friends. Whether you're fast or just want to give it a go, everyone is welcome!

    This club is led by Mrs Beer, Mrs Fox, Mrs Smith,  and Mrs Sinclair. It’s a great way to challenge yourself, stay active, and enjoy the fresh air. Come run with us – and see how far you can go. To join, send your child's details to clubs@wgprep.co.uk

  • COMPUTER XPLORERS Club - Year 3-6 Friday- 3.30 pm-4.30 pm
    In this club we cover many subjects including: Coding, Robotics, Game Making, App Design, Animation, Lego Engineering, Web Design and VR head sets. The session price is £10 per person. Let's Go Digital!

  • Smart Raspberry Cookery School - Years 1-6 Friday 3.20 pm-4.30 pm
    Fun, hands-on cookery clubs to teach children how to cook nutritious food from scratch and introduce them to the enjoyment that comes from cooking for themselves and others.
